Checkout button
We install a physical button in each room. When the guest presses it on the way out, the hotel gets an instant notification: the dashboard logs it, housekeeping is alerted, and if your PMS is connected, the room is automatically set to vacant. No app required, no instructions for the guest. Over 80% of guests use it and we've recorded 3,000+ presses as of March 2026 (Controlá internal data, installations in Barcelona and Granada).
Yes. The button communicates over LoRaWAN, a low-power wireless network with coverage of hundreds of meters. It doesn't depend on the room WiFi. You only need a gateway in the hotel, which we provide.
Nothing breaks. Operations keep running as before: housekeeping can check the dashboard or knock as usual. The button is additive — guests who use it speed things up; those who don't don't affect anyone.
It arrives instantly on the Controlá dashboard and, if integrated, on your PMS too. The room is marked as checkout completed, ready for housekeeping. If you use a different internal app, we can integrate that as well.
Climate control
In hotels where we have the system deployed, savings range from 25% to 35% of HVAC consumption (Controlá internal data, 2025 measurements). The exact figure depends on your local climate, hotel occupancy and existing infrastructure. We estimate a concrete range against your real bills in the initial call.
In most cases, yes. We work with splits, fan coils, centralized systems and existing smart thermostats. If your setup isn't compatible, we tell you what needs to be replaced before we start — we don't sell you something that won't work.
No. We use occupancy sensors: the system only adjusts or shuts down the climate when it confirms the room is empty. When the guest returns, the temperature returns to the configured setpoint. The guest doesn't have to do anything.
Installation, pricing and support
We run on a monthly subscription per room, with no large upfront investment. The price depends on which solutions you need (button only, climate only, or both), the size of the hotel and your existing infrastructure. We send a closed quote after a 30-minute call.
If your hotel already has smart devices we can build on, the connection can be done in days. If new hardware needs to be installed, the process usually takes 1 to 3 weeks depending on the hotel's size. No construction work required — everything is wireless.
We monitor devices in real time. If a sensor loses connection or battery, we detect it automatically and alert you before it affects operations. Automations include fallbacks: if a sensor fails, the system doesn't break anything — it simply stops taking automatic actions in that room until it's restored.
