Features

What it automates, exactly

  1. 01

Pre-conditioning before check-in, at the temperature and with the lead time you define.

  2. 02

An alert when a room takes longer than usual to reach temperature, before anyone complains.

  3. 03

Switch off or drop to standby mode at check-out.

  4. 04

Temperature limit, with a configurable delay so the guest doesn't feel blocked.

  5. 05

Daily reset at the hour you choose, only in rooms with a booking.

  6. 06

Automatic shutdown if a unit is left on in a room with no booking.

  7. 07

Remote control of any room, from any device and from anywhere.

  8. 08

Full history per room, to back yourself up with a guest or with ownership.

How it works in practice

This is how your day to day changes

Three situations that happen every day in a hotel, and what the system does in each one.

Situation 01

The guest checks in and their room is at the perfect temperature

The PMS integration lets you switch the climate on before check-in, at the temperature and with the lead time you decide. The guest opens the door and their first impression is a room at the perfect temperature.

30,4 °C is the average temperature of a closed room in summer with the air off. That is what the guest walks into if nobody has switched anything on.

A guest walks into a room at 31 degrees and rates the hotel one star; on the right, the same room pre-conditioned to 24 degrees and a five star rating

Situation 02

“The air conditioning isn't working” gets solved remotely

You can see the real state of every room from any screen and from anywhere: whether it is on, in which mode, what temperature it is at and what has happened over the last few hours. Most issues get solved without anyone having to walk up to the room.

Most “the air conditioning isn't working” reports are not a breakdown: the unit is in the wrong mode, it has only been on for a few minutes or the fan is at minimum.

Situation 03

Energy savings without hurting the guest experience

At check-out the climate switches off or drops to standby temperature. If maintenance or housekeeping goes into a room on a day with no booking and leaves it on, it switches off automatically a few minutes later.

The daily schedule stops units running at minimum all day long, and the temperature limits avoid 18 degrees in August without the guest feeling a locked thermostat: they can turn it down, and after the time you decide it goes back to the preset limit.

Installation

How it connects to your setup

There are two ways a hotel's climate is built. Spot yours and you already know how we work.

If your hotel has centralised control

VRV, BMS

We connect to the machine, not to the room. We don't go into any room and we don't touch a single thermostat.

However many rooms your hotel has: the installation takes one day and nobody sets foot in a room.

If your hotel doesn't have centralised control yet

Fancoil, split, radiator

We install the device that matches your climate system. Between 5 and 20 minutes per room, with the hotel fully operating.

No floors blocked: we work in the gap between one departure and the next arrival.

Either way you end up in the same place: one single dashboard for the whole hotel and the climate on automatic.

Energy

Energy savings without hurting the guest

The automations are designed to save without the guest noticing. The daily schedule and the temperature limit act when the room is empty or when nobody is going to notice, never cutting comfort for whoever is inside.

10 to 50%

The potential savings range on climate

How much you save depends on your hotel: on room size, on insulation, on how old the climate system is and on whether you already have something running to save. That's why we measure it with you during the pilot, in your rooms and with your data.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get on calls

The ones hotels repeat to us the most.

Does it work with my air conditioning brand?
It works with 95% of climate systems: VRV, splits, fancoils and radiators. Each one needs a different device, and on the first call we work out which one is yours.
My installation is fifteen years old. Does it work?
That's exactly what we sort out on the first call. We tell you what information we need about your setup and with that we confirm whether it is compatible and what it would take.
Do you have to connect to our network?
Not necessarily. If the installation calls for it, we set up our own network and we don't touch the hotel's.
Do we have to take rooms out of service?
No. If your climate is centralised, we don't even need to go into the rooms. If it isn't, the installation takes between 5 and 20 minutes per room depending on the system, so our clients do it with the hotel fully operating, without blocking floors or rooms.
Can it be installed in high season?
Yes. We have optimised the installation so we don't go into the rooms or, at most, we're inside for twenty minutes. We know what it costs to block a room in season.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The units keep running normally and the guest notices nothing: our system never interferes with how the climate works. You also get an alert when a room goes offline, so you can check it before the next guest arrives.
Which PMS do you integrate with?
We integrate with a long list of PMS. If yours isn't on it, we work over iCal, the standard format almost everyone exports bookings with. And if the integration has to be built from scratch, it usually takes 48 hours.
Can I set up the automations myself?
Yes, every automation is 100% customisable: temperatures, schedules, the pre-conditioning lead time and the daily reset. Room by room or for the whole hotel at once.
What happens if a last-minute booking comes in on a day that was empty?
The system reads the calendar continuously. If a new booking shows up, the automatic shutdown is cancelled and the room gets pre-conditioned all the same.
Can our guests still handle the climate the way they did before?
Yes. The room thermostat keeps working exactly the same and the guest uses it by hand with no difference at all. The system acts in the background, it doesn't take control away.
